Looking back at Hannah and Adam who tied the knot last October at the stylish Ace Hotel in Shoreditch, London. Their wedding oozed all kinds of East London cool and the ceremony was held in the rooftop terrace with fabulous views over the London skyline.
Hannah and Adam's brief was for their flowers to be wild and natural in contrast with the contemporary, urban setting. Hannah wanted a colour palette of antique pinks, blush, white and creams, mixed with lots of different textured foliage. Hannah particularly liked garden roses.
We chose Cafe Latte, Quicksand, Majolika and Milky Way roses and paired them with Autumn eucalyptus, astrantia, daucus, blush anemones, kyushu hydrangeas, hebe, pittosporum, senecio and rice flower.
Painted mixed size pickle jars filled with flowers and foliage lined the aisle and these were used later as table arrangements for the reception.
For the ceremony backdrop, we constructed a copper arch and decorated one corner with rambling foliage and flowers. The floral installation against the metallic copper gave a glam industrial meets botanical look, softening the hard edges of the venue.
Here's a little extract of what Hannah and Adam had to say about their wedding flowers:
"I was introduced to Laura of Petal HQ by a mutual friend and really loved her laid-back approach. We met for coffee and I shared a Pinterest board of the flowers I liked and didn’t like and Laura talked through which would work together and which would be in season. She was a dream to work with and really listened to our brief. The bouquets in particular were stunning and even better than I imagined. The statement arch Laura created was also stunning and really popped out and made the London skyline even more special. It was a pleasure to work with them and I wish them all the success they deserve in the future."
